V. impressed

Very impressed with this monitor, great picture quality & no dead pixels as you'd expect from LG. I use a 20" widescreen at work and this thing looks so much bigger. Also, its silver with a black stand and not black as in the picture (just in case you emailed asking what colour) A lot of monitor for your money.

I have previously used a high quality CRT 21 that is back breaking to lift". This LCD monitor is great. I use at the highest resolution with cubase sx and you can get a lot on the screen that is readable where the CRT was not, very impressed. Ordered mid day with me the next on standard delivery.

Amazing!

Just got mine today and i have spent hours testing different games and movies etc. No ghosting at all! Sharp picture, little bright at first but slight adjustments make it easier on the eyes. Easily the best monitor i have ever owned. 22" quality at this price is a steal! Beware however the monitor bezel is actually silver with the stand being black so its not as illustrated!

Like the previous reviewer, I use a flat screen at work, but I have used a very good CRT RGB monitor for some time. It was ordered at the weekend and delivered Monday. This monitor is excellent. The display is very easy to set up with the Forte Manager software. Even though the CRT is older, the DVI-D is visibly better than the RGB (I had both connected and 'cloned' to compare them). Tomb Raider Legend on this thing is awesome.

Excellent product, just install the drivers, update the screen res and your done! Rock solid picture, no dead pixels and acres of room on screen at a superb price. Can't fault it, get one!

Like previous reviews,the screen's bezel is black instead of grey but looks better for it. The picture quality is excellent,watch a DVD it had crystal clear picture and for the gaming side top notch . Excellent monitor very good price.

Great picture quality colours look nice, overall i am really pleased. like one of the other reviews said, bezel is actually silver with the stand being black which i think looks better. Picked this up from the shop. Pin sharp picture, rock solid. Great colour and contrast, made even better if you spend 5 minutes tuning the colours correctly. Set mine up as dual display next to my 17" Samsung, so I can run photoshop with the image on the 22" and the tools on the 17". Like all the others reviewing the model suppied is Silver with Black stand - please let your staff know this, cos when I asked they said it was Black bezel, silver stand.

Don't hesitate - get one!

I've been looking around for a while comparing various 22" models and seeking out the best spec at best price, never forgetting to add on the delivery charges! It was close with the Samsung SM226BW, but I was concerned that the glossy screen of the Samsung would be too reflective of back-lighting in my study. And it cost a bit more! Used Microdirect before & satisfied. Finally settled on the LG L226WTQ. Placed the order late yesterday afternoon & it was with me this morning on standard delivery. What excellent service! Microdirect had the best price I could find. A tip - print the driver set up instructions from the CD before changing over to the new monitor. I installed the hardware first and with a dual boot PC (XP Pro & Vista Ultimate) I got in to a bit of a mess. Totally me, not the kit! The screen is absolutely first class. I prefer silver rather than a black surround. Black can stand-out too much and silver looks just right in my study. So far well impres

22" LG Monitor L226WTQ

Well, i've only been running this screen for a few hours now, but it truly is amazing! It also came with the DVI cable. The picture while watching movies is clear, and sharp. I am currently using a 20 inch Samsung and this LG. The LG, so far, watching movies is truly amazing and a lot clearer then the 20 inch. I upgraded from a 19 inch Benq LCD, which was a great monitor, but bigger is better (when it comes to LCD) No dead pixels. And very fast delivery. What more can be said, Best monitor I’ve seen so far.

Fantastic, great for gaming

This is a fantastic monitor. The quality is superb (no ghosting and back light bleed is very minimal) and it looks great aesthetically as well (silver bezel on a black stand.) The bezel is quite thin too - it's not the thinnest you've ever seen but two of these would make a very nice and usable dual screen set up. I have my PS3 plugged into the DVI port and my computer on the VGA (it comes with both a VGA and DVI cable in the box, I had to buy a HDMI - DVI cable to hook my PS3 up to it.) The monitor allows you to switch between the two by just pressing the "source" button which makes it very convenient for this sort of set up. This monitor displays HD from my ps3 at 720p; it isn't quite big enough for 1080p but it still looks fantastic regardless. For this price, you cannot go wrong, especially considering how quick the response time is and the extremely high contrast ratio compared to other monitors in its class.

Its an amaizing screen

I play a lot of games and am digital graphics artist, its truly a great picture from the DVI and great clarity! When i looked at the price for this screen i was amazed, i mean usually they would cost tons, but this surpasses everything. This by far is the best choice in this screen class. Great buy, its perfect for games, graphics with photoshop and movies. just amazing!!!

Got this home and plugged it in straight away,all i can say is THIS IS A BRILLIANT MONITOR!!.Picked up from shop in Manchester,i went with a couple of monitors in mind,but the sales person put me on to this baby, which i admit was one of the monitors i had in mind,For sheer value for money it cannot be beaten. I mostly play games and web search plus photo edit and so far have seen NO ill effects..Tomb Raider Anniversary looks awesome,and you will be frightened playing Doom 3..I will say it again GO AND BUY ONE OF THESE you will not be dissapointed

Fantastic Product & service

Packaged Well,Easy setup,Current model(unlike other websites). No dead pixels. Spec says to rest. After using a top quality 21" CRT for image editing i was a little worried about grey colour tones & contrast but this is great.

Great. Works perfectly with my MacBook- even using VGA (you need a miniDVI-DVI converter to use the DVI on a Mac) No dead pixels, looks sharp, easy setup, max res is fine. Well happy- LG make the new IMac monitors for apple at the moment too.

This is a great monitor at this price. No dead pixels. Slight light bleed on left-hand side,on default brightness setting which is too high, but got that sorted ok. Windows Desktop looks superb. Looks great too-piano black neck and base, that swivels.

ordered late on Thursday afternoon, arrived Friday morning, brilliant!! The screen quality is excellent hooked up to a Mac G5 via the included DVI cable. It took calibration well using the eye-one system. Quality is very very close to my recently purchased new version Imac. Highly recommended.

If you're thinking of buying this monitor - DO !!! You only need to see all the other reviews to confirm that you are making the right decision... - No dead Pixels - Excellent colours and brightness (possibly too bright on default setting) - No bleed on mine (unlike my previous Lacie monitor) - Amazing price for such a superb monitor.

LG 22" LCD Monitor

No regrets buying this one. Had to replace my Geforce MX440 Graphic Card to get the required 1680 X 1050 resolution and digital output. Fitted a fanless XFX GeForce 6200A 256MB AGP8x DVI which suits my low profile setup - low profile brackets are available separately. Watch out for different motherboard socketry (AGP versus PCI Express). AGP8X works OK in my AGP4X circuit.

This baby really is the "Mutts Nuts". Excellent picture quality and colour. No dead pixels. A light yet stable monitor - smaller footprint, needless to say much better than the 17" Hansol CRT i'd been struggling on with. Simple to set up. All cables included. Good installation software - easy to setup. Needed to upgrade my Video Card to use the DVI at maximum resolution - but that was expected and worth it !! Highly Recommended - go for it...

22" Widescreen LG TFT monitor

Added to this an ATI radeon HD 2400 Pro AGP card (to get the desired resolution) and a Vivanco 2530S Wall bracket to get it off my desk and wow what a combination that makes. Very pleased with installation ease. Picture quality spot on. Well done microdirect getting it delivered to a friend's house who then drove it back here, where the same package would have been unavailable.
