Small, Lightweight, and Functional

Independant scanners for home use are a dying breed now, but this little item is ideal for those who require a beast, and also require portability. Personally I have 2 printers already - one for photo printing, and one as a decent quality home workhorse. I certanly don't require and all-in-one compromise, so was looking for something small & portable. I cam across this on the Microdirect web site, and thought it looked perfect - a little bit more pricy that the normal flatbed, but it can for easily into a laptop bag, so I thought that was worth paying a few more pennies for. Anyway it works fine, and whilst not lightning quick, it does exactly what ot says on the tin. I would recommend it to anyone wanting the for the same reasons as myself.

Compact and good value for money

As I travel to clients premises a lot I was looking for a small lightweight scanner that was not mains powered to avoid me having to either take away originals or getting laden down with paper copies. Came across this on the net and thought it was worth a try for the money. I was not disappointed. Easy to set up and use and works with my existing document management software (Paperport). Not the quickest scanner but gets top marks for portability and value for money . It has now become indispensible.
